Stage 1 - Recap

Stage 1 of the competition is well underway and teams are starting to register. So far we have teams representing Egypt, Estonia, India, Sweden and Italy, and we are looking forward to including teams from the rest of the world as well. We are always on the look-out for talented developers, so this is your opportunity to get in touch with Ericsson.

But don’t just take our word for it. Phil Woodward, co-founder of HipSnip and winner of EAA 2011 put it best when he wrote that the ultimate prize for participating in the Ericsson Application Awards was:

  • "Focus – the whole process will force you to build towards a deadline, and really focus on the value that your app provides.
  • Exposure and recognition – getting through the successive rounds gives your app exposure and something impressive for you to talk about to users, contacts, press or investors.
  • Contacts – getting through to the final means you’ll get to meet people at senior levels in the telecoms world, a rare opportunity."

October 10th, the deadline for the first mini-challenge, is fast approaching. For details on how to join, click here.

If you've already come up with some ideas, make sure you register your team and start filming! Remember that we are looking for an introduction to your team as well as your ideas for apps that address a good cause.

Are you up for the challenge? Come on and show us what you’ve got!
