Another Prize on the Table for Stage 1

Now with your submission you can help put a girl through school.

As you know, Stage 1 of the EAA has already begun. For this mini-challenge -- Technology for Good Apps Competition -- we asked developers to come up with applications for a good cause.

In line with this, our colleagues at Ericsson’s Technology for Good have donated an additional prize for the winners of Stage 1. As well as receiving a Sony Ericsson Xperia arc phone, the winning team will also help put a girl through school - she will receive a scholarship in the team's name. The scholarship will cover tuition for a girl to attend secondary school for three years in one of the Millennium Villages in sub-Saharan Africa as part of Connect To Learn - a global education initiative. Connect To Learn is a public-private partnership between the Earth Institute, Ericsson and Millennium Promise that uses Information and Communications Technology to enable access to a 21st century education for all.
