All you have to do is submit:

1. A fully functioning application
2. A video which demonstrates your application (*)

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of Technology For Good Apps Competition (Stage 2) of the Ericsson Application Awards.

We have received a number of really good contributions for Stage 2 of the competition.
With the evaluation process now complete, we are able to reveal the winners sooner than anticipated. Keep an eye out for the announcement on Monday, December 12^th.

Stage 2 of the competition is now closed. We have received a lot of innovative ideas. The evaluation process has already begun and we will be announcing the winning team on December 16.

PROBLEM DEFINITION

In the market nowadays, there are several matters that are unwittingly giving bad impacts to the environment. The problems are:

1. Paper Receipt
Millions trees are cut down each year since mankind starts using paper for purchase receipt. On the contrary, most of people just throw the receipt away after paying for the purchase just like it is useless. Moreover, most receipts are made of thermal paper, and it cannot be recycled which makes it more problematic.

2. Retail Advertisement

From our research, we have identified a good number of organizations that will be interested in this cause. These organizations have played a big role in creating awareness about the crisis of food wastage and some others have played major roles in getting food to the needy instead of allowing wastage.

Agile Development Model

Software process: To develop a solution for our Mobile Application, we consider Agile software development process where we adopt an iterative and incremental software cycle.

The actors sidelined are:
1>End users (Care-seekers and Supporters)
2>Producer companies (Care givers)
3>User-agents ( To support, help and be a middle organization between End users and Producers)

Since there are various way the users/producers will interact with our app, We try to present a 3 minutes story-line in our Stage-2 submission.
